Miley Cyrus hosted the second iteration of her NBC special, Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, last night (December 31) as part of the television network’s holiday programming. During the event, she brought out Dolly Parton to perform with her.
Parton joined her goddaughter in singing Cyrus’ 2013 single “Wrecking Ball.” Their rendition of the song was combined with a duetted version of the Parton classic “I Will Always Love You.” The duo also performed Parton’s 1973 song “Jolene” and covered Patsy Cline’s “Walkin’ After Midnight” and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts’ “I Love Rock ’n’ Roll.” Check it out below.
Miley Cyrus’ latest studio album, Plastic Hearts, was released in 2020. Elsewhere at her New Year’s Eve celebration, she was joined by David Byrne to perform his song “Everybody’s Coming to My House,” as well as the David Bowie hit “Let’s Dance.”
Coming up, on Friday, January 13, Cyrus will release the new single “Flowers.”
