PS5 console users are experiencing screen ‘flickering or flashes’ for Resident Evil 4 Remake. Some even report seeing blurry textures on their consoles.
Reports of Resident Evil 4 Remake screen flickering or flashes issues
It appears that certain graphics settings in Resident Evil 4 Remake are potentially responsible for two reported issues. One of these issues is a visual disturbance in which PS5 players are experiencing flashing green and red lights during gameplay.
Hey @RE_Games there’s this weird color bug at the bottom of the screen and it gets stronger when it’s dark pic.twitter.com/38NzVIt6zm

This effect can be visually disturbing and seems to be more noticeable at the bottom of the screen. Furthermore, the issue is more apparent in dark maps or scenarios.
“Need a bug fix and fast. Apparently during comms in chapter 2 and forward I see a screen tear of some weird flashes lights on bottom of my screen,” a player posted.
Another player wrote: “I’m playing and there are blue green and red lights that are blinking on the bottom of the screen. It’s only doing it when I’m playing re4, I’ve tried other games so it’s not my tv or ps5.”
Thankfully, the team at Capcom is already aware of the issue and is currently working on a solution. Although, there is no confirmed timeline for when it will be released. In the meantime, there are a couple of official workarounds available for players who are affected by the issue.
One possible workaround is to disable the “Depth of Field” option in the game settings. Another option is to turn off the “Motion Blur” option, which can be found in the “Camera” tab of the settings menu.
‘Blurry textures’ error also comes to light
A number of Resident Evil 4 Remake players have also reported that the game’s textures appear blurry or muddy on console platforms. The issue has a noticeable impact on image quality when compared to the PC version.
While there has been no official acknowledgment of this issue yet, there is a potential workaround available.
Players can try turning off the “Chromatic Aberration” option in the game settings, which may help to improve the appearance of textures in the game.
