The Israeli military is preparing to strike the Al Rantisi children’s Hospital in the Gaza Strip and have asked staff to evacuate people from the building, Al Jazeera reported, citing an unidentified official at Gaza’s Health Ministry.
The official said the lives of at least 70 children are in danger because of the impending strike. The Gazan ministry called on the international community to interfere in the situation to avert the attack. The Israel Defense Forces hasn’t yet commented on the report.
On November 6, the Palestinian enclave’s Health Ministry said on Facebook (banned in Russia as it’s owned by Meta Corporation, which is designated as extremist in Russia) that at least eight people were killed in Israeli shelling of hospitals in the central parts of Gaza Strip. Four of them were killed in an attack on an ophthalmology hospital, while another four were killed in a strike on the Al-Rantisi children’s Hospital. The medical institutions are not far from each other.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, 16 hospitals in the Gaza Strip have so far ceased operations due to shelling and a lack of fuel.
