Razer Synapse players are experiencing the ‘System not receiving Adequate Power’ error after the recent update. Specifically, version 3.8.531.52615 has been troublesome for Razer Blade 15 players.
Reports of Razer Synapse ‘System not receiving Adequate Power’ error
Players are having trouble using the Performance mode on their laptops and seeing the error. This error also stops them from turning on the Performance mode.
However, even though they see this error message, userf yehs have said that the graphics processing unit (GPU) still works well when they play games. It gives them the performance they expect.
Also, when the Razer Blade 15 laptop is connected to its original power supply, it charges normally without any issues. This suggests that the problem is not with the laptop’s hardware.
These findings strongly suggest that the error message is misleading and causing an unnecessary obstacle for users who want to activate the ‘Performance’ mode.
“The system is not receiving adequate power to enable high performance modes. How do I get this thing under control, I saw a post similar to this. But no fix, I do see a gradual decrease of FPS,” a user posted.
“I have recently updated the synapse, and my RB15 2020 gets adqueate power isn’t enough message, after plugging the OEM charger. Lappy runs fine tho and no swelling. Any solution?” another user reported.
The incorrect power supply error has caused confusion and inconvenience for other Razer Blade model users in the past, as documented in multiple instances.
Potential workaround
Many users who have experienced this problem have found a solution by performing a system restore to a previous date. In particular, reverting the system back to June 13, 2023, or an earlier date has successfully restored the laptop’s full functionality.
“After performing a system restore to the 13th June 2023 the problem on my machine was resolved. I’m not sure what update is the trigger (synapse or driver) yet but will investigate over the next couple of days,” a player reported.
