Beech Grove High School was evacuated on Tuesday afternoon after several injuries were reported in a chemical spill, according to City Mayor Dennis Buckley. The school is located in Beech Grove, Indiana.

Mayor Buckley stated that at least two teachers and two students were hurt in the incident. And the extent of the injuries is still being evaluated by authorities, Fox 59 reported.
Buckley stated that the high school students are being relocated to Hornet Park Elementary School and a nearby community center due to the ongoing evacuation. According to WRTV, parents can pick their children from the Hornet Park Community Center.
The incident has led to the deployment of multiple ambulances and HAZMAT teams at the school.
Beech Grove High School stated that the evacuation was prompted by “concerns of a smoke related issue” that took place within the school.
The school has announced the cancellation of classes for the day, and buses will be arranged to transport students home “as soon as possible.”
Additionally, students who drove themselves to school will be released shortly. The school has not provided any further details regarding the incident.

Beech Grove High School was evacuated due to concerns of a smoke related issue that was located inside Beech Grove High School. A number of emergency vehicles are currently onsite. All BGHS students have been evacuated to both the Beech Grove Community Center and Hornet Park Elementary School.
School buses have been called for pickup of bus-riding BGHS students. They will arrive on campus soon and BGHS students will be delivered home as soon as possible. Students who drove to school will be released in the next 15-20 minutes.
