Popular Ghanaian highlife musician Kaakyire Kwame Fosu known as K.K. Fosu has formed a political movement to launch his political career ahead of the 2024 general election.
The musician and now a politician adopted the name Empower Youth Movement (EYM) for his new role and the task of the group is to help claim the seat of Akuapim North Constituency in the 2024 general election.
The artiste who is passionate about using his music and political role to transform the youth of Akuapim has encouraged the youth especially to make the point of supporting him in the upcoming 2024 election.
KK Fosu who will be contesting as an independent Parliamentary candidate for Akuapim North Constituency said his vision and mission for the people in his Constituency goes beyond politics.
“I’m not a politician. My vision and mission are beyond politics. I am independent. It’s a movement; an independent movement. We are not going to talk about politricks. We are going to talk about vision beyond politics…Currently, I control the youth of Akuapem North”, he said in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Okay FM.
Speaking on the possibilities of winning the seat although he is not affiliated with any political party, he said “You don’t need people to buy you. They will control you with their money and that’s [what we are facing] the problem we facing as Africans…God is with me and I have people. I have a fan base.”
