On Thursday, January 19th, President Akufo-Addo will fly from Abu Dhabi to London for a six-day private visit.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic, left Ghana on Saturday, January 14, 2023, to lead Ghana’s delegation to the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) is a global initiative advocated by the UAE and its clean energy powerhouse Masdar to advance economic, social, and environmental improvements.
ADSW, founded in 2008, helps bring together leaders of state, lawmakers, industry executives, stockholders, business owners, and youth – all of whom have a shareholding in our planet’s future – to debate and interact in daring climate policy and developments that will make sure a much more viable world for the next generation.
President Akufo-Addo then will fly from Abu Dhabi to London for a six-day private visit on Thursday, January 19th.
The President was preceded by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, MP; the Minister for Energy, Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh; the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor; and the Minister for Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Hon. Dr. Kwaku Afriyie.
President Akufo-Addo will return to Ghana on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, and in his absence, the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will serve in his place in accordance with Article 60(8) of the Constitution.
