On Friday, January 6, the Ghanaian breakout star Black Sherif performed alongside Nigerian music stars Asake and Seyi Vibez at the inaugural edition of the Beer With Us Festival (BWUFEST) to over 10,000 music and beer lovers at the Landmark Leisure beach in Oniru, Lagos.
The event, sponsored by Achievas Entertainment Limited, was a beer and music party that turned into a rave with Afrobeats sounds.
Asake, who has been the rave of the moment since early 2022, did not disappoint his fans, delivering an incredible back-to-back performance that included hit songs such as Palazzo, Sungba, Mr. Money with the vibe, Terminator, Peace be unto you, and Joha, among others.
Black Sherif, the 21-year-old Ghanaian star known for ‘First Sermon’ and ‘Second Sermon,’ also showed up with his own style, opting for the mystical story of ‘Kwaku the Traveller’. He got the audience to scream at the top of their lungs on the refrain, and he performed a slew of songs that electrified the ‘Beer With Us’ stage.
Seyi Vibez came in to keep the tempo going with his Yoruba and street lingua music.
Daniel Chiori Cole, a lead executive at Achievas Entertainment, spoke about the show’s success, revealing that what many thought was a show test run turned out to be massive.
He said, “we have always been committed to our watchword which is providing world class quality entertainment and that we did at the debut edition of BWUFEST; you never can tell what we have up our sleeves for the next edition.”
